This page explains how to delete your Elevion account and all personal data associated with it, as required under the GDPR's right to erasure, the CCPA's right to delete, and Meta's Platform Terms.
What gets deleted
- Your user profile (name, email, password hash, billing address).
- Your Instagram OAuth tokens (access + refresh).
- All campaigns, templates, schedules, and activity logs.
- Analytics snapshots we captured for your connected Instagram account.
- Session + device information associated with your account.
What is retained (by legal obligation): billing records and tax documents are retained for up to 7 years to comply with US accounting and tax law, but are isolated from the active system and not used for any other purpose.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
Signed in, visit app.elevion.cc/dashboard/settings → "Danger Zone" → "Delete my account". You will be asked to confirm. After confirmation:
- Your account enters a 30-day grace period (in case it was a mistake). Sign back in within 30 days to cancel the deletion.
- After 30 days, all your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
- Your Instagram API tokens are revoked immediately — Elevion loses access to your Instagram data from that moment.
Option 2 — Email request
Email privacy@elevion.cc from the email address on your account, with the subject line Delete my data. We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days (CCPA: 45 days, GDPR: 30 days — we aim to meet whichever is shorter).
Option 3 — Remove Elevion from Instagram (Meta-initiated deletion)
You can revoke Elevion's access to your Instagram account directly from Instagram: Settings → Apps and websites → Active → Elevion → Remove.
When you do this, Meta sends a signed deauthorization callback to our endpoint at https://app.elevion.cc/api/meta/deauthorize. We immediately:
- Revoke your stored Instagram access token on our side.
- Mark all campaigns tied to that Instagram account as ARCHIVED.
- Delete the Instagram profile data we cached (snapshots, media list, account metadata).
Your broader Elevion account remains active so you can connect a different Instagram account. To fully delete everything, also follow Option 1 or 2 above.
Confirmation status lookup (for Meta's data-deletion API)
When you request deletion, you receive a confirmation code. You can track the status by visiting https://app.elevion.cc/data-deletion?code=YOUR-CODE. This endpoint exists to satisfy Meta's Data Deletion Callback requirements and will show your request as pending, completed, or not found.
Contact
If anything goes wrong or you don't receive confirmation within the expected timeframes, email privacy@elevion.cc and we will personally handle your request.
